Brazil Santos – Ground Green Coffee
Green coffee only appeared in the dieting sphere in 2012. Today, it is thriving and highly sought-after worldwide. Pharmacies have shelves full of green coffee extracts in capsules or liquid form. However, we are convinced that the most effective solutions are those closest to nature. That's why we advocate for green coffee beans!
Ingredients
Arabica 100%Taste & Crema
Green coffee tastes a bit like green tea. It is rather delicate, slightly sweet, without bitterness or a strong aroma. If you carefully examine the flavor profile, you will find the signature notes of roasted coffee. Sometimes people have to get used to the taste of green coffee, but it doesn't take long for it to become a regular part of their diets. This coffee does not produce any foam.
Origins
Coffee from the sunny Brazil is famous worldwide. That's why we import our green coffee from here, namely the southeastern region of Sao Paulo. The farmers who grow the coffee trees are mostly small farmers. Their entire families depend on the yield and quality of the coffee, so they give it the utmost care.
Since the plantations in Sao Paulo are located on hard-to-reach hills, they are not treated or fertilized with industrial products. The fruit of the Coffea arabica coffee plant ripens gradually, so the harvest can take place almost continuously. The berries are picked by hand and transported to the processing farms in large bags.
There they are washed to produce green coffee. First, the berries are poured into large water tanks and pushed through plates to remove the pulp. The coffee beans are then transferred to special barrels and fermented. Drying takes place first in the sun and then in special dryers to achieve 10% moisture content. Green coffee is not roasted further; it remains natural.
Green coffee benefits:
Unroasted coffee beans contain many more health benefits than its roasted counterpart. This is because they have not been subjected to high heat, so there is no decrease in antioxidants or caffeine content. The essential chemical for which green coffee is so popular is chlorogenic acid. Effects of chlorogenic acid, referred to as CGA are:
- promoting breakdown of fats,
- preventing the conversion of sugars to fats and flushing them from the body,
- accelerating the burning process and promoting weight loss as well as reducing appetite
Caffeine in green coffee:
- reduces fatigue and improves concentration,
- contributes to mental and physical vitality;
- relaxes muscles, relieves pain and stress and increases performance.
The ratio of CGA acid is 60,000mg/1kg. Green coffee has antibacterial properties, reducing the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Drinking green coffee also reduces feelings of hunger.
CAUTION: Green coffee beans are very hard and require a top-quality grinder to grind them. Green coffee can damage commercially available machines. Therefore, we grind the coffee only coarsely. We recommend preparing the beverage by simply pouring boiling water over the ground coffee or using a French press.
