Colombia coffee
For many plantation coffee enthusiasts, Colombia is synonymous with the ''starter of the day''. Its coffee is ideal for breakfast. The taste is sweet fruit and subtle nuts, the aroma reminiscent of caramel and cocoa. Colombian arabica is planted at altitudes above 1,200 metres, it is known as Strictly High Grow (SHG). Such harvests are among the most original in terms of taste and are highly prized for it.
More than 80 % of all Colombian coffee production is destined for export. That may seem like an enormous amount, but the opposite is true. Colombia's coffee only meets less than 10 % of global demand.
