Ingredients
100 % ArabicaTaste & Crema
Colombia Excelso Medelin is one of the strong coffees, with high-quality, large beans and high intensity. We roast it to bring out its balanced sweetness followed by a coconut aroma. Its aftertaste lingers on the tongue and the taste lasts long, gradually fading. This makes coffee from Pedregal very popular. The thick and lasting foam enhances the experience even further.
Origins
The high-quality plantation coffee from Colombia is one of the most sought-after in the world. The South American country is surrounded by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, which greatly influences its climate and the changing of seasons. Despite frequent weather fluctuations, farmers harvested around 600,000t of coffee beans in 2013. The increase in production has placed Colombia among the top three coffee superpowers.
100% Arabica from the Pedregal region grows at the foot of the Andes. The volcanic soil provides the necessary nutrients and the high humidity provides the necessary moisture. The careful selection of the Bourbon variety, which is best suited to the local natural conditions, allows the farmers to sell a high-quality coffee with full body and silky smoothness.
Coffee plants (Caffea arabica) in Pedregal are usually harvested continuously throughout the year. This ensures that only the ripest fruits (which look like cherries) are harvested and, thanks to the manual management of the plantations, they are handled with care. The coffee beans are processed using the washed method – the berries are first placed into the water and those that remain on the surface are removed. The ripe, best quality berries remain at the bottom and are pushed through crushing plates with the water. These remove the pulp and most of the skins. After fermentation, which is closely monitored as it has a major impact on the final flavour and aroma of the coffee, the beans are dried – first in the sun, then in ovens.

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
