Vietnam coffee
Vietnam is the second largest coffee producer in the world after Brazil, with the vast majority of its harvest coming from robusta coffee trees. The country's coffee industry was introduced by French missionaries in the mid-19th century. Today, Vietnamese coffee is a household name, made even better by the growing popularity of special ''Vietnamese'' coffee brewing.
Although the country mainly exports robusta, you can also taste Vietnamese arabica. It is one of the well-balanced, pleasantly sweet and chocolaty-nutty coffees. If you are in the mood for a more robust experience, indulge in a Vietnamese robusta, which contains much more caffeine than arabica and has a more intense flavour with traces of bitterness.
