India Plantation AA – Roasted Coffee
100% Arabica with an oriental twist! The unique spicy flavour, elegant acidity and attractive sweetness make coffee from Kernataka, India a fan-favorite. The Kents variety is a local speciality named after the Englishman who planted the first coffee plants in the area in 1920. In Europe, coffee from India is mainly used to make espresso.
Ingredients
Arabica 100%Taste & Crema
Indian plantation coffee is characterized by its delicate aroma and slightly spicy taste reminiscent of cardamom, cloves, pepper and nutmeg. The unusual taste is to some extent due to the processing method and to the natural conditions in India. The coffee has a beautiful and bright color and the crema is thick, compact and smooth.
Origins
Kernataka is a coastal region in Southwestern India. Its climate is influenced by six seasons: spring, summer, rainy season, early and late autumn and winter. From June to September, the country is lashed by monsoons for the first time, with the second wave of rains coming between October and December. Arabica is grown at higher altitudes and is quite susceptible to pests, so the plants need to be carefully cultivated and protected. All coffees in India are grown in the shade, often in lieu with spices.
The coffee plant (Coffea arabica) probably arrived in India in 1670 from Yemen. When Indian coffee began to be exported to Europe by ship, it acquired its original flavor through long voyages in humid and salty environments. And because Europeans are probably quite conservative, they require Indian coffee to retain its character even during air travel. That's why today, farmers process coffee cherries by what is known as monsooning, a special process that exposes the beans to humid air and monsoon winds for seven weeks.
India exports about 70% of its coffee production from a quarter of a million farmers.

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
