Benefits of blueberry
Remember when you went into the woods in summer with a basket designed for blueberries and came back without them, but blue and happy? The happier ones had them right in the garden and that was the joy of every berry. And what if you knew all their benefits?
The blueberry on which the blue berries grow takes many forms. However, they are most commonly divided into wild (forest) and garden. While the forest varieties are shorter in stature and the fruit can be slightly sour, the garden blueberry takes the form of a medium-sized shrub that is covered in sweet treasures.
Blueberries are at home almost all over the Northern Hemisphere. They can also be found in Iceland and Siberia and even in limited quantities in Greenland. The fruit offers many health benefits. For example, vitamins A, B and C, antioxidants, magnesium, calcium, manganese, zinc and many others. The leaves themselves are also used extensively in medicine, from which a tasty infusion is prepared.
However, the clear winner in popularity is the blueberry. The sweet spheres are eaten on their own, added to desserts and breakfasts, but are also wonderful in smoothies and teas.
Storage is easy, though not always necessary, as they usually disappear quickly. Blueberries can be easily dried and frozen and will last a long time without significant loss of their benefits.
