Benefits of chuchuhuasa
Perhaps no place in the world is so concentrated on natural wealth. It is a paradise for all shamans, root witches and ranchers. Yes, we are talking about the Amazon and its rainforests. And yes, chuchuhuasi is one of its treasures.
The chuchuhuasi is a massive Amazonian tree that can grow up to 30 metres tall. It has a huge crown of white flowers. It grows in the tropical belt of South America in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and especially Peru. Peruvians love it. Literally. For many centuries they have worshipped it as a miraculous natural healer and in recent years have added to its benefits a significant financial gain.
For its almost magical properties, the bark of this tree has been the focus of much clinical research in the second half of the last century. And Chuchuhuasi has passed the test of time! Peruvians enjoy it all the more and attract tourists to it. The traditional method of preparing the decoction is to boil five centimetres of bark in two litres of water until the decoction is reduced by half. For gourmets, however, there is a much more delicious version - a combination of chuchuhuasi with cane rum.
Simply chewing the peel is another option, but admit that the other methods sound better. In our country, chuchuhuasi is most often found in the form of a fine powder of reddish colour. Surprisingly, unlike other ''bark'' beverages, it also tastes very good. It can be sipped in small amounts throughout the day and can be served to children from the age of three.
