Benefits of lemongrass
It tastes like a lemon, looks more like a spring onion and smells intoxicating. Ayurvedic medicine loves it. And indeed the whole world - if not for its benefits, then certainly for its wide range in the gastronomy and cosmetic industry.
Lemongrass is a tall stemmed plant with a scent that invites use in aromatherapy. The aroma itself gives the much sought-after fresh feeling in advertisements, so it is no wonder that it is added to many cosmetic products. Its ability to act as an effective natural repellent is also well known.
Because of its flavour, it is often used in traditional Thai cuisine, where it adds a slight spiciness to sauces and meats. Lemongrass is not difficult to grow. It originally comes from South-East Asia - especially from India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Thailand. However, it has gradually spread all over the world and is not difficult to grow in your garden.
It is very popular in the form of infusions. These are prepared from dried lemongrass stalks and have a really pleasant flavour that does not even require further fine-tuning. You can indulge in two cups a day, we just do not recommend it to pregnant women.
