Ingredients
100 % ArabicaTaste & Crema
We have roasted Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Arabica coffee beans to retain as much of the original aroma as possible. That is why it is so fresh and deliciously floral. When brewed correctly, you will get fruity notes – specifically apricot and peach. Light roast coffee has a rich flavor profile and will not disappoint any coffee lover.
Origins
The Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia has made coffee history with its innovative wet processing. A unique washing station was built here, which marked a complete transformation in the quality of Ethiopian coffee. Unlike other parts of the country where coffee is grown on a massive scale, Yirgacheffe prides itself on smaller-scale production of traditional indigenous coffee types. Coffee from the southwest of Ethiopia has an intensely floral, sweet aroma and excellent quality.
The unique wet processing of the coffee berries involves several steps. Immediately after harvesting, it starts with a wash of water. This separates the low-quality berries, which remain on the surface, and pressing the rest through special plates to remove the pulp. The berries can remain in the water for up to 18 hours. The next step is fermentation. It strips the wet coffee beans of their mucilage and brings out the coffee's flavor and aromatic qualities. Then comes the drying and packing in jute bags.
