Origins
Central and South American coffee consistently ranks high on the popularity charts. Coffee grown in Peru is a success in Japan, Germany, and the United States. The Puno region traditionally produces high-quality coffee beans. This is due not only to the individual care of the coffee plantations of the local farmers, and the high-mountain climate of the Andes, but also to the almost organic way of growing and the relatively demanding crop processing. Since the coffee trees grow on steep mountain slopes, it's not possible to transport fertilizers or any treatments to them. Many coffee plants are harvested several times a season to ensure that they are always fully ripe.
The fruit resembles cherries in appearance and size, and they are picked by hand. Farmers place them in large sacks and carry them on their backs down the valley to the trucks that take the day's harvest for processing. This coffee is processed wet – a more laborious but more efficient method than dry technology. The cherries are sorted for quality immediately after harvesting by placing them into water tanks. The high-quality ones sink to the bottom, while the others are collected and removed. The tough pulp is removed by pushing the berries through crushing plates. The coffee beans are then fermented in fermentation tanks and then dried in the sun.
Flavoring is always done during the roasting process, not after. This ensures that the coffee retains its aroma for longer and also ensures that it does not ruin the result of the delicate roasting process. We only use natural flavorings.
Making Flavored Coffee in an Automatic Coffee Maker
|
If you intend to make flavored coffee in an automatic coffee maker with a tray, we recommend checking the instructions for the coffee maker to ensure this is possible. If the machine manufacturer does not provide any information on flavored coffee, follow these recommendations: The natural aroma in this coffee may react with the plastic in the tray and cause it to spot on prolonged contact.
Apply same rules when grinding flavored coffee in grinders (both manual and electric). |

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
Instructions for preparation
Grind your coffee according to your preferred method.
Use 14ml of water per 1g of coffee. For 1 cup of coffee use 7g.
