Ingredients
100 % RobustaTaste & Crema
The coffee of Indonesia is aromatic, full-bodied, and distinctive. If you prepare it as an espresso, you will get a cohesive crema and a strong flavor with hints of fruit. This coffee sounds more delicate, yet still distinctive on the filter or in an Aeropress. Those who want to explore can test robusta in combination with more delicate arabicas. In this way, you can achieve interesting flavors and make your coffee unique every time.
Origins
Indonesia is a world leader in coffee exports. Its production began with the efforts of Dutch colonizers in 1696. Plantations were first established in the western regions of Java and Sumatra, and in the late 18th century on the Ijen Plateau in eastern Java. It was there that robusta began to be cultivated in large numbers, replacing the arabica bushes destroyed by fungal disease. During the 1920s, robusta became the main local coffee variety.
Java farmers grow coffee plants on large plantations. The five largest (Blawan, Jampit, Pancoer, Kayumas, and Tugosari) cover more than 4,000 hectares of land. The advantage of such farms is the ability to process coffee cherries quickly and with high quality. Ripe cherries are transported to the plants in large volumes. The so-called washing process, a wet method of coffee production that takes place under strict quality control, guarantees a distinctive flavor profile and beautiful, undamaged beans.
Java is the 13th largest island in the world. It is almost entirely of volcanic origin. Both extinct and active volcanoes provide coffee plants with ample minerals to support their healthy growth. The weather is influenced by tropical monsoons that alternate with short dry periods. Average monthly temperatures hover around 30°C, with the air temperature in Java rarely dropping below 18°C.

Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee.
