Ingredients
100 % Robusta, AromaTaste & Crema
Instant Gingerbread Coffee is built on the intense base of 100% robusta, so the taste is a long way from shy. It has a full body, low acidity, and intense notes of cocoa, caramel, and mild chocolate. Enter our gingerbread flavoring and its sweet character full of aromatic spices. The bitterness of coffee is balanced by a pleasant dessert-like quality and the resulting drink feels round and warm. It's great as is, though if you add a splash of milk, the gingerbread flavor will become even milder.
Origins
Instant Gingerbread Coffee is made from 100% robusta from the Mexican state of Veracruz, one of the country’s most important coffee-growing regions. Coffee has been cultivated here since the 18th century, when it likely arrived in Mexico from the Caribbean. Over time, production gradually concentrated mainly in the southern and southeastern regions, thanks to ample moisture, warmth, and suitable soil. Today, the best-known growing regions include Chiapas, Oaxaca… and Veracruz.
Veracruz lies on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Coffee plants are grown here at various altitudes, and local production has a relatively diverse character due to the varying microclimates. Mexican coffees are generally associated with chocolate and nutty notes, sometimes with citrus undertones and a sweetness reminiscent of caramel or vanilla.
In the case of Instant Gingerbread Coffee, however, the main variety isn’t arabica – which is typical for Mexico – but 100% robusta. Robusta contains more caffeine, has a fuller body, and usually features a more intense bitterness. The base used for this flavored coffee also offers natural notes of cocoa, caramel, and smooth chocolate.
Did you know that coffee has its own unique way of being served in Mexico? Traditional café de olla is prepared with unrefined piloncillo cane sugar and cinnamon, so spices are definitely no strangers to a Mexican cup of coffee. In our case, this combination takes on a different form: the coffee base is complemented by a gingerbread flavoring with a sweet, spicy character.
To give you the full picture, let’s explain how roasted beans are turned into coffee that you simply need to add water to. First, you must get a concentrated coffee extract. This extract then undergoes a process called spray-drying. The concentrated coffee is dispersed in very fine droplets from which the water quickly evaporates in a stream of hot air. The result is the ever-popular tiny granules of instant coffee.
Next comes the gingerbread flavoring. Combined with the full-bodied character of Mexican robusta, it creates a blend where the bitterness of coffee, cocoa, and chocolate-caramel notes meet the sweet aroma of spiced baked goods. So while Instant Gingerbread Coffee begins its journey on coffee plantations in Mexico, once you brew it, you'll feel like you're sitting in a kitchen while someone's baking festive treats.

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
