Let’s start by explaining what adaptogens are and how they can benefit you: adaptogens are plants and mushrooms that have been used for centuries in traditional Asian medicine. The base of this blend is a high-quality instant coffee from Mexico, made from 100% robusta sourced from the Veracruz region. This region is one of the country’s most significant coffee-growing areas. Thanks to its fertile volcanic soil, tropical climate, and regular rainfall, the coffee develops a full-bodied flavor with a naturally sweet profile, blending notes of cocoa, caramel, and smooth chocolate. The coffee was processed using the spray-drying method. In this process, a concentrated coffee extract is sprayed into a stream of hot air. The water evaporates instantly, resulting in a fine, soluble coffee powder. Modern technology preserves the full flavor and distinctive aroma, so you can enjoy a surprisingly intense cup of coffee in just a few seconds without any time-consuming preparation.

Organic reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), famously also known as the 'mushroom of immortality,' pairs nicely with our Mexican robusta. In nature, you’d find it as fan-shaped fruiting bodies with glossy reddish-brown caps. It grows primarily on the trunks of deciduous trees and contains a range of biologically active compounds, primarily polysaccharides (especially beta-glucans), triterpenes, sterols, and antioxidants. Reishi contributes to the body’s natural defenses, supports the immune system and normal circulatory system function, and helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.

And what does ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) look like? This unassuming shrub, often referred to as Indian ginseng, has small, green flowers and reddish-orange berries hidden within a papery calyx. However, the most valued part is its root, which is rich in a group of active compounds called withanolides, as well as alkaloids, flavonoids, and other natural antioxidants. Ashwagandha contributes to mental health and relaxation, supports normal cardiovascular function, healthy skin, and proper functioning of the respiratory and reproductive systems, and is also associated with rejuvenating the body. The ashwagandha in this blend is also certified organic.
