Ingredients
100 % RobustaTaste & Crema
Because this is 100% robusta, the taste of this coffee is quite strong. Yet it does not lack the harmonious citrus notes typical of Ecuadorian coffees. The crema can be described as light and pleasant.
Origins
The instant coffee was first publicly introduced in Buffalo by Japanese-American chemist Satori Kato. In 1910, it was patented by G. C. Washington and supplied it to soldiers for energy and morale. But it wasn't until the 1950s that it made its way into homes. Since then, instant coffee has been a staple in many kitchens. In Europe, according to a 2012 survey by the International Coffee Organisation, the Czech Republic has the highest consumption (3.3 kg per person per year), followed by the Austrians (1.9 kg) and the Slovaks (1.6 kg). On the other hand, France (0.5 kg), Italy (0.1 kg) and Sweden (0.3 kg) seem to be the least likely to drink instant coffee.
The big advantage of instant coffee is that it is really easy and quick to prepare. You can have a hot, invigorating drink in seconds. The properties and appearance of this coffee are due to the way it is produced – you can either find instant coffee that's been freeze-dried or spray-dried. This one has been produced by the latter method.
Spray-dried coffee is a more widespread method of production and is also cheaper. Simply put, it involves spraying a strong coffee extract (prepared by brewing roasted coffee) onto the walls of heated drums. The liquid loses moisture during the process and the dry particles fall down. They are immediately collected, weighed and packaged.
Ecuador is a country that grows arabica and robusta in roughly equal proportions. Coffee trees grow mainly on the hilly plantations covering the slopes of the Andes. Although this equatorial country is not one of the world's major coffee producers, it exports beans of high quality and considerable popularity.
Benefits of coffee
Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
Instructions for preparation
For best experience use a 90ml cup.
Add 1-2 teaspoon of coffee and pour over with boiled water cooled down to 90°C. Using boiling water may negatively affect taste.
Always use fresh, clean water.
