Instant Orange Flavor Coffee
During the Medieval and Renaissance times, oranges were a symbol of luxury. Wealthy families decorated their tables with oranges to show off their immense riches. Despite their availability nowadays, we still love them. And you can now enjoy their fresh, sweet and tangy flavor in combination with an amazing Mexican coffee – and since it’s freeze-dried, it’ll be ready in a blink.

Origins
Before you commit to instant coffee, it's good to know that there exist two types: spray-dried and freeze-dried. The former loses much of its natural aroma during the drying process, while the latter is not affected at all by the freeze-drying process. Guess which we prefer.
Of course, we are fans of freeze-drying. It retains the original taste of a freshly brewed coffee, and the production is more careful and gentler. First, a coffee extract is prepared from roasted and ground coffee beans by submerging them in hot water under high pressure. The magic happens right after – the extract is quickly frozen to a temperature of around -40 °C and placed in a vacuum chamber where the ice is directly converted into vapor without passing through the liquid state. Scientists call this process sublimation; all we need to know is that it removes all the water and leaves the dry coffee in the form of light, crisp granules.
When and who came up with the idea of freeze-drying coffee extract? The first steps towards creating freeze-dried coffee were taken in the early 20th century by Japanese chemist Satori Kato. However, the results of his work were not as convincing in terms of taste, so they were not received too well by the public.
It was not until the mid-20th century that freeze-drying grew to a mass scale in the pharmaceutical industry to preserve medicines and food. That’s when freeze-dried instant coffee got a second chance. Finally, a process that preserves the aroma and flavor of coffee was established. No additives, preservatives nor added sugar. This kick-started the boom of freeze-dried coffee, which is incredibly easy and quick to prepare – just add hot water and you can enjoy a delicious drink in no time, whether you're at home, at work, or on the go.

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
Instructions for preparation
- For best experience use a 150ml cup.
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of coffee and pour over with boiled water warmed up to 90°C. Using boiling water may negatively affect taste.
