Ingredients
100 % Arabica, AromaTaste & Crema
This 100% arabica must be properly ground and well-brewed. Then you will be rewarded with a wonderful smooth crema and fantastic taste. Its base is based on Peruvian coffee, which is characterized by its smooth and rich body, light sweetness, and a trace of fruit. Flavoring with Irish whiskey gives the coffee a unique malt aroma.
Origins
We regularly source our plantation coffee for flavored coffees from the Peruvian Andes. The farmers there, who farm small fields of coffee plants, produce high-quality coffee. Because their high-altitude plantations are difficult to access, they do not use industrial fertilizers to cultivate or treat the coffee plants. Often, coffee from the Andes is considered organically grown.
In the Puno region, the harvest occurs several times a season, depending on how the coffee fruit ripens. They resemble cherries in appearance, but unlike cherries, it is not the juicy pulp that interests the processor.
The seeds – coffee beans – need to be gently handled. Peruvians use a more complicated and expensive washing method. But the result is high-quality coffee. The coffee cherries are washed in water, where the pulp is removed, and then the fermentation takes place. Finally, the coffee beans are dried in the sun. To prevent mold, they must be turned frequently, and at night and in the event of rain, the crop must be covered with tarps.
Coffee has been flavored since around the 1970s. We flavour it before roasting, which is just before the coffee is sent to the customer. The aroma is injected into the beans by delicate roasting, so it is well integrated into the coffee. It does not leach out, and you can recognize it in the taste.
Making Flavored Coffee in an Automatic Coffee Maker
|
If you intend to make flavored coffee in an automatic coffee maker with a tray, we recommend checking the instructions for the coffee maker to ensure this is possible. If the machine manufacturer does not provide any information on flavored coffee, follow these recommendations: The natural aroma in this coffee may react with the plastic in the tray and cause it to spot on prolonged contact.
Apply same rules when grinding flavored coffee in grinders (both manual and electric). |

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
