Origins
Coffee appeared in Mexico in the late 18th century and by the late 20th century, it was the country's most valuable export commodity. Most of its production goes from Mexico to the United States. Like its neighbouring countries, Mexico has gone through turbulent years, including battles with Native Americans and the Mexican Revolution. The South of Mexico, where the Santa Cruz region is located, is supplied with water by the river of the same name.
In addition, humidity also comes from the Pacific Ocean. The soil is exceptionally rich in minerals, so it is no wonder that coffee plants thrive there. The Maragogype variety, which we are introducing to you, is a really big bean. Named after a Brazilian port city, it is a hybrid between conventional arabica and Arabica liberica. When roasted, the beans can reach 16-24mm in length and 12-16mm in width.
The coffee cherries are harvested from the bushes continuously throughout the ripening period. The fruit is handled by the farmers through a process known as the washed method, where they are first pressed together with water through a machine that removes the pulp and then fermented. The beans are dried, sorted according to size and quality, and packed.

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
