Origins
Before we get to the individual varieties that make up the Strong Trio Espresso Blend, let us present the way we roasted them. This unique approach to processing green coffee beans contributes significantly to its overall composition. We consider roasting as a way of communicating with the coffee, seeking its natural properties, and enhancing its beauty. Each coffee has its roasting profile. It needs a specific temperature and roasting time to achieve the ideal result. Moreover, the overall flavor composition must be kept in mind when it comes to roasting coffee for espresso blends. So, it's not uncommon to roast the same variety of premium arabica intended for direct drinking as single-origin coffee slightly differently than when intended to be part of an espresso blend. Does this seem complicated? You will gain insight into most espresso blends when you understand our unique roasting approach. For the more familiar "Italian espresso" for quick use in automatic or lever coffee machines, all varieties tend to be roasted together and to a very dark degree. It is easy for the beans to become over-roasted and for the resulting drink to taste flat to bitter. There is also a ''Scandinavian method'' (slow, longer roasting) emerging around the world, which our philosophy comes close to, but can produce sour-tasting blends, which we want to avoid.
In the case of Espresso Blend Strong Trio, we take care to roast to the exact level at which the natural sensory characteristics of the coffee type are best expressed. It is no wonder that espressos roasted in this way excel with flavors full of fruity and floral notes. They are suitable for both coffee prepared in an automatic coffee machine and for drinks prepared on a filter, in a moka pot, or vacuum pot. Strong Trio is made up of 2 selected arabicas and 1 robusta. The Kenyan arabica is said to have a distinctive aroma, a pleasant acidity, a velvety smoothness, and notes of berry fruit play in it. It comes from the famous Nyeri District, where small farmers mainly grow coffee plants. The red coffee cherries are harvested continuously, at their peak ripeness, and processed using the so-called washing method.
Arabica from Indonesia can generally be described as balanced, pleasantly chocolatey, and freshly fruity. The variety used in this espresso was harvested in the mountainous region of Toraja, covered with small coffee plantations. The fruits of the coffee plants were processed by washing, and the green beans were dried in direct sunlight. To make the Strong Trio more distinctive, we also roasted Indian robusta in a special way. In addition to its high caffeine content, it has a typical chocolatey, earthy taste. It was grown in Kerala, in northeast India, on a plantation surrounded by fruit trees and spice gardens. Farmers processed the coffee berries by washing them. Robusta from India is famous the world over. In our espresso blend, in addition to its fantastic taste, it also provides a cohesive, thick crema.

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
