Ingredients

94 % Cocoa powder, Ashwagandha BIO, Reishi BIO, Aroma

Taste

The main ingredient is a rich brown Ghanaian cocoa powder, which has a moderately bitter taste that's common for cocoa from that area. The aroma of vanilla brings in a mild sweetness and rounds out the bitterness of cocoa into a pleasant, warm note.

Both ashwagandha and reishi aren't very present in the taste; the resulting beverage is more reminiscent of an ordinary, full cocoa with a touch of vanilla. It's great when mixed in warm milk, whether it's dairy, oat, or almond, and perfect for those who want to enjoy a cup full of something extraordinary after a long day. For an even more fancy impression, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or a drop of honey.

Origins

This cocoa comes from Ghana, one of the world’s leading producers of cocoa beans. Ghana’s cocoa industry employs approximately 800,000 families, and its quality is monitored by the state-run organization called Cocobod. Cocoa trees there take 5 to 15 years to mature and yield their first fruit. After the harvest, the cocoa beans undergo fermentation and drying in direct sunlight. This results in a pure powder, suitable for vegetarians and vegans alike.

Do you know what horses and an unassuming Indian herb have in common? Their name. Ashwagandha means ""horse scent"" in Sanskrit, not only because of the root’s characteristic aroma, but also because, according to Ayurvedic teachers, it can give a person the strength and endurance of a horse. Ayurveda has been using it for an estimated 2,500 years and classifies it among the so-called rasayanas, i.e., remedies for rejuvenating the body and soul.

Today, we would say it's an adaptogen that helps the body manage stress and tension without artificially stimulating it. It contributes to mental well-being and relaxation, supports normal cardiovascular function, and acts as an antioxidant that protects cells from oxidative stress. It also positively affects skin condition and the function of the respiratory and reproductive systems.

Reishi mushrooms look like small, glossy fans that grow on tree stumps. You’ll rarely come across it in European forests, but in China and Japan, it has been known for over 2,000 years. Why do we care? Because it contains over 400 biologically active compounds, ranging from beta-glucans and essential amino acids to B vitamins, iron, selenium, and magnesium.

It supports the body’s natural defenses and the immune system, contributes to the normal functioning of the circulatory system, and helps maintain healthy blood cholesterol levels.

Try it and see for yourself why so many people get hooked on this cocoa with adaptogens so quickly.

Instant French Vanilla Coffee

Vanilla is perhaps the most widely used spice in the world. Europeans have loved it since the 16th century, but the ancient Aztecs and Toltecs knew vanilla much earlier. French or Bourbon vanilla is imported from the island of Réunion. It's difficult to grow, harvest and process, so the price is not exactly popular either. Don’t miss out on this treat – combined with Indian robusta! All you need is a little bit of coffee and some hot water. More in product details
