Origin of the coffee
As you may know, Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world. Coffee trees were first planted there in the 18th century, originally in the Santos region near São Paulo. Coffee is also cultivated in Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Bahia, Rondônia, Paraná, Cerrado, and Alta Mogiana. The Brazil Cemorrado Chocolate Edition NY2 scr. 17/18 originates from the latter two regions, as suggested by its name.
Cerrado is in the country's eastern part, filled with tropical savannahs and highlands but also with wetlands, and forests. The climate can be described as semi-humid and tropical, with two main seasons: the dry season (April to September) and the rainy season (October to March). The average annual temperature ranges between 22 and 27 °C. The coffee from this region has low acidity and is balanced, with a chocolate-caramel profile. The plantations, located approximately 850 meters above sea level, yield a significant quantity of excellent coffee. Cerrado is the first coffee-producing region to strive towards certification, using the Designated Origin label for exceptionally high-quality varieties.
Alta Mogiana, situated near São Paulo in northeastern Brazil, has stable climatic conditions, soil rich in organic matter, and an altitude between 800 and 1,000 meters above sea level. The coffee from this region is recognized for its pleasant sweetness, mild acidity, and bright cocoa, biscuit and nut notes. The NY2 label provides information about the quality of the beans: a 300-gram sample of coffee contains no more than six beans with visible defects.
This extremely low number of defective beans ensures a delicious and consistent taste. The term scr. 17/18 refers to the bean size, an important quality of coffee beans. Large and fully mature beans provide an excellent flavor, and size 17/18 is considered one of the top sizes.

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
