Green coffee has a mild, slightly sweet taste. We've added a drop of natural caramel flavoring to make it more appealing. The result is a light and pleasant drink. When brewed with water, green coffee produces almost no foam.
Origins
This flavored green coffee comes from Central American plantations. We buy it from small-scale farmers for whom growing coffee trees is their only livelihood. They plant, cultivate, and harvest coffee without any heavy machinery, industrial fertilizers or sprays. It is often compared to coffee from organic farming.
The fruits of coffee trees, coffee cherries, ripen continuously throughout the growing season. They are harvested by hand and transported to processing farms immediately after harvesting. Central American farmers prefer what is known as wet processing or the washed method. They pour the coffee berries into large tanks of water, remove the poor-quality berries, and push the remaining ones through special plates. This removes the pulp. Then the loosened coffee beans are transferred to fermentation vessels, where they ferment for up to 36 hours. Finally, the farmers dry them in direct sunlight and then in drying ovens. Green coffee is not roasted further, so it retains maximum of its beneficial nutrients and its natural aroma and flavor. In this case, we've also added a few drops of natural flavoring free of harmful substances such as synthetic fragrance carriers or heavy metals.
Green coffee benefits:
Unroasted coffee beans contain many more health benefits than its roasted counterpart. This is because they have not been subjected to high heat, so there is no decrease in antioxidants or caffeine content. The essential chemical for which green coffee is so popular is chlorogenic acid. Effects of chlorogenic acid, referred to as CGA are:
- promoting breakdown of fats,
- preventing the conversion of sugars to fats and flushing them from the body,
- accelerating the burning process and promoting weight loss as well as reducing appetite
Caffeine in green coffee:
- reduces fatigue and improves concentration,
- contributes to mental and physical vitality;
- relaxes muscles, relieves pain and stress and increases performance.
The ratio of CGA acid is 100,000mg/1kg. Green coffee has antibacterial properties, reducing the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Drinking green coffee also reduces feelings of hunger.
CAUTION: Green coffee beans are very hard and require a top-quality grinder to grind them. Green coffee can damage commercially available machines. Therefore, we grind the coffee only coarsely. We recommend preparing the beverage by simply pouring boiling water over the ground coffee or using a French press.

Instructions for preparation
Use 14ml of water per 1g of coffee. For 1 cup of coffee use 7g.
Add your coffee and pour over with boiled water.
