Taste & Crema

The flavor of this decaffeinated Cherry coffee is harmonious and layered. It builds on the slightly sweet notes of dark chocolate and roasted nuts that are signature for Brazilian Bourbon arabicas. This is complemented by the juicy, refreshing taste of cherries. It leaves a full, rounded impression without excessive acidity with a long aftertaste of fruit and smooth chocolate.

Origins

Fragrant, delicate and yet distinctive. This is our Cherry Decaf coffee that combines premium Brazilian arabica with the aroma of ripe cherries. The foundation is Bourbon variety coffee straight from the Sul de Minas region. If you want to find it on a world map, look in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. The area is full of lush, rolling hills and has a mild climate with average rainfall, so no wonder it's one of the most important coffee growing areas in the world. Although the coffee production here is one of the largest in Brazil, the coffee beans come mainly from small-scale farmers who manage their plantations, usually spanning only mere tens of hectares, with love and respect for nature.

Coffee in Sul de Minas is harvested between June and September, mostly using machines, but still with great care. After harvesting, it undergoes it’s processed using the washed method, i.e. submerging the coffee fruit in water, cleaning the beans, and fermentation. This process enhances the purity and delicate flavor characterized by notes of chocolate and nuts, a smooth body, and a long aftertaste that remains on the palate even after the very last sip.

To ensure that even those who can’t or don’t want to have caffeine can enjoy this experience, the coffee has undergone the gentle Swiss Water decaffeination process. It’s extremely popular because it uses only water and activated charcoal to remove the caffeine – no chemicals.
We added a nice, fruity juiciness to this arabica with a drop of cherry aroma. It was extracted from actual ripe cherries with a full, sweet and sour flavor, and an intense aroma.

In the culinary world, cherries have their place in desserts, jams, and marmalades, as well as in liqueurs and drinks. The fruity character of cherries blends beautifully with the chocolatey-nutty profile of Brazilian arabica to create a coffee that feels like you’re indulging in a sugary dessert.

Coffee packaging preview

Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.

Instructions for preparation

1. Grind your coffee according to your preferred method.
2. Use 14ml of water per 1g of coffee. For 1 cup of coffee use 7g.
3. Add your coffee and cover with boiled water (95°C).
