Ingredients
Arabica, AromaTaste & Crema
The flavor of Cookies & Cream coffee is both sweetly milky and bitterly cocoa-like. But because it is coffee, not a cookie, its profile reflects the unique character of Peru Andes coffee – full of chocolate and fruit, with a slightly nutty aftertaste. The crema is lighter and more cohesive.
Origins
If you are asking about the origin of the coffee beans used to roast the Cookies & Cream, know that they come from the world-famous plantations of the Peruvian province of Puno. There, coffee bushes have been cultivated by small farmers since the 18th century, mainly in the forest areas of the high Andes. The vast majority of Peruvian production is considered ''organic'', as using industrially produced fertilizers and pesticides is completely unaffordable for the local population. The rough terrain in which the plantations are set is also difficult to access. In any case, Peru Andes coffee is free of any harmful and toxic compounds.
If you are wondering how roasted arabica becomes Cookies & Cream flavored, here is the answer: Once the fruit of the coffee plant is harvested, Peruvian farmers process it by washing it. That means they pour them into the water and push them through special grates that strip the coffee of its pulp and skin. The beans themselves are then fermented in large vats for 12-36 hours. This is followed by further washing and drying, usually in direct sunlight. Green coffee processed in this way goes to the exchange. The next step is, of course, roasting. This is crucial to the flavor of the coffee and a mistake can ruin the entire batch. If the roaster lacks experience and knowledge, getting the specific aroma out of coffee is incredibly hard.
The coffee beans are heated during roasting to gradually change color from light green to yellow, yellow-brown, and light brown to dark brown. Finally, the coffee is air-cooled. It is during the roasting process that the aroma can be added to the coffee. The roaster ensures that it penetrates the beans and is preserved until the coffee is ground before preparing the beverage. In this case, very little flavoring is needed. The second option is to flavor the coffee after roasting. This option does not require as much experience on the part of the roaster, but on the other hand, the aroma can easily evaporate from such coffee. The Cookies & Cream coffee beans were flavored during roasting.
Making Flavored Coffee in an Automatic Coffee Maker
|
If you intend to make flavored coffee in an automatic coffee maker with a tray, we recommend checking the instructions for the coffee maker to ensure this is possible. If the machine manufacturer does not provide any information on flavored coffee, follow these recommendations: The natural aroma in this coffee may react with the plastic in the tray and cause it to spot on prolonged contact.
Apply same rules when grinding flavored coffee in grinders (both manual and electric). |

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
