Origins
Coffee we use for flavoring comes from the Peruvian Andes. The Puno region is a traditional producer of high-altitude Arabica, which is successful globally. Its Typica variety, although not a high-yielding variety, is appreciated for its great taste. In Peru, 98% of coffee is grown by smallholders. They farm small fields at the foot of the mountains with their entire families. Because their coffee plantations are difficult to access, they are not fertilized or treated with industrial products. For this reason, Puno coffee meets the same requirements as organic farming.
The fruit of the coffee plant (Coffea arabica) is harvested almost year-round. As they ripen, the workers head for the hills to pick them. When the cherries reach the processing plant, they are put in water, pushed through crushing plates, and stripped of their pulp. Then they are fermented for up to 36 hours in fermentation vessels. The whole process results in green or greyish coffee beans, which the farmers dry in direct sunlight or drying ovens.
Flavoring coffee is a delicate process that requires a master roaster. We have one, and that is why our flavored coffee has a long-lasting aroma.
Making Flavored Coffee in an Automatic Coffee Machine
|
If you intend to make flavored coffee in an automatic coffee maker with a tray, we recommend checking the instructions for the coffee maker to ensure this is possible. If the machine manufacturer does not provide any information on flavored coffee, follow these recommendations: The natural aroma in this coffee may react with the plastic in the tray and cause it to spot on prolonged contact.
Apply same rules when grinding flavored coffee in grinders (both manual and electric). |

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
Instructions for preparation
Grind your coffee according to your preferred method.
Use 14ml of water per 1g of coffee. For 1 cup of coffee use 7g.
