Enjoy these delightful strawberries! Is there a more appealing combo than fresh fruit and whipped cream? Yes, actually: fresh fruit, whipped cream, and 100% arabica from Peru. One of South America's finest coffees is delicious on its own. And now, imagine it coupled with strawberries...
Ingredients
100 % Arabica, AromaTaste & Crema
Coffee flavored with strawberries has been around for quite some time. Their pleasant and very refreshing aroma and taste blend beautifully with the full and clean body of 100% arabica. It's also low in acidity and naturally sweet. You can add a few drops of milk to mellow it out.
Origins
For Peru, coffee has been a source of income since the 18th century. 98% of coffee plantations are cultivated by small farmers, who tend to the plantations with their families. The coffee of the Puno region grows on the slopes and hills of the Andes; access to it is difficult and almost precludes industrial fertilization and treatment. This is why it is perceived as organic coffee. The popularity of Peruvian coffee from the Andes is enhanced by the fact that it is a Typica variety. It has a delicious flavor, and even with the lower yields of the Arabica coffee plants of the Typica variety, it is coffee in high demand on the world market.
The fruit of the coffee plant resembling cherries is harvested several times a year, depending on how fast it ripens. In Peru, they are processed by the so-called washed process, a technology used for high-quality arabicas. This is why this coffee is sometimes called 'washed' or 'wet.' The peeling of the berries must take place within 24 hours of harvest. Everything is done in water – the cherries are pressed through special plates to remove the pulp, then the beans ferment in the water (for up to 36 hours). Finally, they are dried either in direct sunlight or in drying ovens.
Coffee produced by the wet method has a fruity to floral taste. It is excellent to drink as is but also serves as a great base for making flavored coffees. The green coffee beans that we recieve are roasted only when customers order their coffee. The roaster applies the flavoring just before roasting and sprays the coffee with a carrier oil and a natural aroma. We don't use the cheaper method of flavoring already roasted coffee because it does not guarantee long-term preservation of the flavor.
Making flavored coffee in an automatic coffee machine
|
If you intend to make flavored coffee in an automatic coffee maker with a tray, we recommend checking the instructions for the coffee maker to ensure this is possible. If the machine manufacturer does not provide any information on flavored coffee, follow these recommendations: The natural aroma in this coffee may react with the plastic in the tray and cause it to spot on prolonged contact.
Apply same rules when grinding flavored coffee in grinders (both manual and electric). |
Benefits of coffee
Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
