Toffee – Flavored Roasted Coffee
Have you tried toffee? This buttery caramel is mostly popular in the United States, England, or Australia and made with almonds, coconut, chocolate, vanilla, or rum. Toffee can resemble hard caramel but can also be as chewy as chewing gum. It can be added to ice creams and desserts, but it's also a favorite among flavored coffees.

Origins
Because we always choose the highest possible quality, we also select the best beans for our flavoured coffee. We import them from the Puno region of the Peruvian Andes. Coffee plants have a long tradition there, high in the mountains. It's one of the most common sources of livelihood for small farmers. Because we buy coffee directly from their farms, they don't have to cut prices nor quality under pressure from global buyers, which are usually only interested in large quantities of coffee and cheap purchases.
Our suppliers harvest coffee continuously throughout the growing season. Only the fully ripe fruit, the so-called coffee cherries, are processed using the washed method. This is a more costly process than dry processing, but the results are excellent and the coffee is outstanding. The farmers place the cherries into special water tanks and push them through crushing plates to remove the pulp. At the same time, the individual coffee beans are extracted. These go into fermentation tanks, where they ferment for up to 36 hours. They get rid of the sticky layer covering the parchment layers and the skin itself. After this step, the coffee still contains 50% of its moisture. To prevent molding, it must be dried in the sun or in drying ovens. The result is green to greyish coffee beans that are bagged and sent to the market.
The coffee is flavored by our roaster just before the roasting itself. The beans are sprayed with a carrier oil and natural flavoring and then they are expertly roasted. Coffee flavored in this way retains its aroma and taste for a long period of time.
Making Flavored Coffee in an Automatic Coffee Machine
|
If you intend to make flavored coffee in an automatic coffee maker with a tray, we recommend checking the instructions for the coffee maker to ensure this is possible. If the machine manufacturer does not provide any information on flavored coffee, follow these recommendations: The natural aroma in this coffee may react with the plastic in the tray and cause it to spot on prolonged contact.
Apply same rules when grinding flavored coffee in grinders (both manual and electric). |

Coffee packaging preview
Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
