Coffee taste

The Espresso blend of select Christmas coffee beans is characterized by the uniqueness of four single-origin Arabicas. By roasting each separately to give the blend its uniqueness, we have achieved an incredible harmony of their flavours. The specific roasting processes can be recognized both by the blend's colour- lighter and darker beans - and, above all, by its unmistakable taste. The fresh flavours of blueberries, blackcurrants, and oranges develop gently on a solid base of dark chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon (evoking a winter atmosphere). It leaves a pleasant, balanced, multi-layered aftertaste.

This espresso blend is suitable for all types of espresso preparation, but you can also achieve interesting results using a Chemex or filter.

Origin of coffee

If we were writing a book, it would be a tetralogy. In the case of the Espresso Christmas coffee bean blend, it would have four chapters. In each, we will introduce you to one original Arabica. To begin with, we roasted each variety separately and to a different degree. We roasted them many times and repeatedly. We tasted, set aside, and tried again. Until all the selected Arabicas formed one beautiful flavour chord. The espresso blend prepared this way differs from the so-called Espresso Italiano (whose beans are all very dark - the roaster prepared each variety of coffee at the same time, at the same temperature, for the same amount of time) by the presence of different coloured beans.

We chose the four single-origin coffees very carefully. To reflect the characteristics of winter days so that you can recognize the scent of frosty mornings and warm afternoons under the duvet. Enjoy a limited edition inspired by a time of year when nature is asleep, but there is still so much to discover. First up, let's introduce the Dominicana AA Juncalito Arabica from the high mountains of the Dominican Republic. They are known to produce truly great coffee, but in small quantities. Local farmers only venture into the inaccessible terrain a few times a year to check, replant, or harvest the bushes. They can forget about artificial fertilizers or sprays.

They wouldn't be able to take them that high. Therefore, Dominican coffee achieves the quality of organic coffee, although there is no official confirmation yet. However, we'll be interested in the taste of the coffee more than its stamp. This coffee is pleasantly sweet, despite the fact that oranges and grapefruit play a major role in its flavour. An aftertaste of chocolate slightly accentuates them, so the result is harmonious and complex. The second in the bunch is Java Jampit A/WP-1X Estates, an Arabica that has flown in from the east of exotic Java. The volcanic soil and the equatorial sun have given it a rich flavor and conscientious processing of the highest quality. This variety is also grown in the hills, the farmers pick only the ripe fruit, and because Java is not yet fully electrified, much of the local production is based on traditional handwork. However, the results are excellent!

The coffee is sweet, chocolatey, and velvety vanilla, and the aroma shows a slight spiciness. Where did the cinnamon flavour come from in this espresso blend, you ask? India Monsoon Malabar AA Grade, the third Arabica, brings it subtly earthy, spicy cinnamon. That's exactly what grows in the hills of the Indian coast, where farmers also plant cardamom, cloves, and as mentioned, cinnamon. It's also processed with a special monsoon process that brings out the unmistakable flavour profile in the beans. And finally, Congo Kivu. It's not last because it doesn't matter.

On the contrary, this Arabica crowns the whole espresso blend wonderfully. It adds spiciness and notes of dark berries and oranges. Its sweet fruity aftertaste is unforgettable. This is a variety from a small family farm in the eastern regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The plantations are planted in a mountainous area, so the coffee trees receive both sun and wind during their growth. Cool, damp nights are replaced by hot days. This gives the local coffee an extraordinary balance of flavour.

Coffee packaging preview

Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.
