The taste of green coffee can be compared to fine green tea. It is a little sweet and lacks any bitterness. To make the coffe even more alluring, we added natural coconut flavoring to enhance its taste without losing any of the health benefits. A characteristic feature of green coffee is that it produces almost no foam.
Origins
This green coffee is grown in Central America. Arabica (Coffea arabica) coffee plantations are found in both valleys and high mountains. The coffee tree is a fruit tree and commonly grows 5-8m. However, farmers keep it at a lower height for regular harvesting. The fruit, similar in appearance and size to cherries, is picked almost continuously. They ripen gradually over a period of 9-14 months. The berries are harvested and transported to processing farms where the fleshy skins and mucilage are removed. Therough the washed method, the coffee beans beens are extracted and are left to ferment for up to 36 hours in special fermentation tanks. The green coffee is dried in the sun while being constant turned or in drying ovens – or both. The key to drying coffee is to ensure that the beans have constant air access so they do not mold. This would spoil the entire batch.
Green coffee is not roasted; it remains raw. It is packed in jute bags and goes to the market. Because it was not roasted it retains maximum health benefits.
Green coffee benefits:
Unroasted coffee beans contain many more health benefits than its roasted counterpart. This is because they have not been subjected to high heat, so there is no decrease in antioxidants or caffeine content. The essential chemical for which green coffee is so popular is chlorogenic acid. Effects of chlorogenic acid, referred to as CGA are:
- promoting breakdown of fats,
- preventing the conversion of sugars to fats and flushing them from the body,
- accelerating the burning process and promoting weight loss as well as reducing appetite
Caffeine in green coffee:
- reduces fatigue and improves concentration,
- contributes to mental and physical vitality;
- relaxes muscles, relieves pain and stress and increases performance.
The ratio of CGA acid is 100,000mg/1kg. Green coffee has antibacterial properties, reducing the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Drinking green coffee also reduces feelings of hunger.
CAUTION: Green coffee beans are very hard and require a top-quality grinder to grind them. Green coffee can damage commercially available machines. Therefore, we grind the coffee only coarsely. We recommend preparing the beverage by simply pouring boiling water over the ground coffee or using a French press.

Instructions for preparation
Use 14ml of water per 1g of coffee. For 1 cup of coffee use 7g.
Add your coffee and pour over with boiled water.
Steep for 5 minutes.
