Taste & Crema

Cream coffee are delicious and delicate. Being flavored Peruvian arabica, it has a typical sweetness, delicate fullness, and velvety harmony. The creamy flavor perfectly complements the typical taste of South American plantation coffee. Its crema is smooth but dense, compact, and elastic.

Origins

The mountains that stretch across South America are not just a region of snow and ice. On their slopes, local farmers grow coffee, beans, and potatoes. The small fields in the high Andes are hard to access, so any fertilizer and treatment sprays are difficult to get to them. Furthermore, farmers are poor, and industrially produced chemicals are often beyond their financial means. For this reason, highland coffee from Peru is considered organic, although farmers do not obtain any certification.

Typica coffee plants are not very productive, but their fruit is popular. The beans from the Puno region are among the finest coffees in the world. Harvesting is essentially year-round, depending on how the coffee cherries ripen. They must be processed within 24 hours of picking. Peruvian coffee is typically washed, with 130-150l of water used per kilogram of coffee. The coffee cherries are poured into the water and pressed through special plates to remove the pulp. The beans are then fermented in the water for about 36 hours. Drying takes place in the sun or drying rooms.

The roaster proceeds to flavor the beans just before roasting. The green beans are sprayed with a carrier oil and then mildly roasted. The aroma thus penetrates the whole bean and lasts for a long time.

Making Flavored Coffee in an Automatic Coffee Machine

If you intend to make flavored coffee in an automatic coffee maker with a tray, we recommend checking the instructions for the coffee maker to ensure this is possible. If the machine manufacturer does not provide any information on flavored coffee, follow these recommendations:

The natural aroma in this coffee may react with the plastic in the tray and cause it to spot on prolonged contact.

  • Always use only as much flavored coffee as you will immediately consume.
  • After preparing your flavored coffee, make your next cup with unflavored coffee.

Apply same rules when grinding flavored coffee in grinders (both manual and electric).

Coffee packaging preview

Our quality aluminum packaging lacks any bold graphics, as we’d rather focus on the taste of our coffee. It always comes fresh thanks to degassing valve, which releases the gases that occur after roasting. Thanks to the hermetic seal, this container helps the contents further keep their freshness and protect them against humidity, light or foreign odors.

Instructions for preparation

Grind your coffee according to your preferred method.
Use 14ml of water per 1g of coffee. For 1 cup of coffee use 7g.
Add your coffee and pour over with boiled water (95°C).
